Love, Revenge… and Hair Products
“HELL HATH NO FURY” Beware a Women Scorned!
A new Australian play debuts at Newtown Theatre in November. From the pen of award-winning playwright Wayne Tunks comes his new opus for 16 women. Hell Hath No Fury follows hairdresser Roberta and the staff and patrons of her successful Newtown hair salon. When life turns difficult and women are betrayed, they can only rely on each other for friendship and support. Hell Hath No Fury is a bittersweet drama about love, revenge… and hair products.
The GirlsPaula (Home & Away and Always Greener’s Bree Desborough) is the funky lesbian;
Emilia (Helpmann Awardwinner Kate Maree Hoolihan) - her hubby is sleeping with her best friend
Jane (Jade Alexander) is the perfect, desperate, housewife;
Yvette (Angela Beal) is sleeping with her best friend’s husband;
Clara (Marion Baird) the old trouble-maker;
Ocean (Emily Beale) is Roberta’s husband’s new mistress;
Deborah (Isla Borrell) is the wallflower, Linda (Felicity Burke) is the local bitch
Freddie (Jessica Fallico) is Roberta’s daughter and narrator;
Hannah (Neveen Hanna) is the tough cop;
Sammi (Emma Harris) is the no. 2 hairdresser
Anne (Kathryn Forsatz) is the abused wife; Rita (Ivy Mak) is the Asian nail girl
Sarah (Jacinta Moses) is the quiet newcomer;
Libby (Millie Zinner) is the annoyingly perfect hairdresser;
Roberta (Allison Griffiths) is the boss… and what a tangle!
